Man falls on metro tracks at Rajajinagar station, escapes unhurt

A 40-year-old man fell onto the metro tracks at Rajajinagar station on Wednesday evening, briefly causing tension at the station. The man, a resident of Rajajinagar, told police he slipped accidentally while boarding a train around 4 pm.

A BMRCL official, however, suggested he had tried to jump onto the tracks, noting that no train was entering or leaving the platform at the time. Train operations were not disrupted, the official added.

Security staff immediately activated the emergency trip system to cut power and handed the man to the station controller, who called the police. He was taken to Subramanya Nagar police station and released after questioning. No complaint was lodged by BMRCL, a police officer said.
