PM Modi unveils Sapta Dhara framework for Viksit Bharat by 2047

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled the 'Sapta Dhara' reform framework from the Red Fort on the 80th Independence Day, outlining a strategy to make India a developed nation by 2047. The seven streams cover manufacturing, agriculture and food processing, technology, logistics, defence, green and blue economy, and soft power.

Modi said India must become a trusted global supply chain in manufacturing and meet global standards. He called for farmers to access global markets through FTAs, and for India to lead in AI, quantum, and 6G. Self-reliance in defence and promotion of green hydrogen were also emphasised.

Invoking the historical 'Sapta Sindhu', Modi said the nation needs new streams of strength. He said the potential of youth will be harnessed, and in the next 5-7 years the seven streams will give the country new momentum.
