Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma eyes Dussehra release, VFX key

The team behind Naga Chaitanya's upcoming mythical adventure thriller Vrushakarma is targeting a Dussehra release, but the date hinges on the completion of visual effects work. Director Karthik Varma Dandu told fans the makers are unwilling to compromise on VFX quality just to meet the festival deadline. Shooting is currently underway in Vizag, while post-production is racing against time.

123telugu.com reports Vrushakarma has generated massive hype with its promotional content. The film is the biggest-budget project of Chaitanya's career and has reportedly received encouraging inside reports, with the potential to become his highest-grossing film. Naga Chaitanya plays Arjun, a treasure hunter, Meenaakshi Chaudhary is the female lead, and Laapataa Ladies fame Sparsh Shrivastava plays the antagonist. Jayaram is also in the cast.

The film comes at a pivotal time for Chaitanya, as his brother Akhil Akkineni recently scored a super hit with Lenin, and his father Nagarjuna is preparing for his 100th film. Produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, Vrushakarma has music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. The team's final release decision will depend on whether the VFX work is completed on time and to their satisfaction.
