NBC Sports host Michael Holley faints live on air

NBC Sports analyst Michael Holley fainted during a live broadcast of Pro Football Talk Live on Friday while co-host Mike Florio was addressing him. Holley, who was transmitting from his home, began to sway and fell out of the camera frame, prompting Florio to ask, "Did he just pass out?" The network chose not to re-broadcast the footage on streaming services.

In a statement, Florio confirmed the incident was "unprecedented in the 15-year history of the show" and attributed Holley's collapse to overheating and lack of food before the 7 a.m. EST broadcast. The control room contacted Holley's wife after switching to a commercial break. Florio stressed the need for family contact lists for remote co-hosts in case of medical emergencies.

Some viewers on social media speculated that Holley may have had a seizure rather than a heat-related episode. Holley, who has been with PFT for two years, also works as an associate professor of journalism at Boston University and is a best-selling author. Florio said Holley will return for his next scheduled appearance.
