Perez Hilton desperate to watch his own overdose TikTok live

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, 48, is reportedly desperate to watch the disturbing TikTok live where he appeared to harm himself, but his family is keeping him off digital devices. Hilton was hospitalised after the livestream, which showed gory visuals of blood and stayed on TikTok for over two hours before removal. According to a police report accessed by People, he was treated for an overdose and underwent surgery for blood loss; he is now stable.

Hindustan Times reports, citing a source close to the family, that Hilton has regained his senses and is "mortified" about the incident. The source said Hilton wants to watch the video "to see what everybody else saw," but his family believes that would be "really bad right now." The family is telling him the world is supportive and shielding him from negative commentary, describing this as "protecting him from himself," the source added.

TikTok attributed the delayed removal of the video to a "glitch" in its content moderation system. By the time it was taken down, the video had gone viral and remained easily accessible.
