NYC designer found dead on yacht alleged harassment by financier

Swimwear designer Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, 33, told a business partner she was being harassed by financier Chris Durnan days before her body was found on his boat in Montauk, New York. The Irish-born entrepreneur had blocked Durnan’s number on August 1 after he sent hostile messages accusing her and her East x East partner of fraud, according to text exchanges shared with The Post. She planned to meet him on August 4 to discuss the allegations.

Nolan-O’Slatarra met Durnan that evening on his boat “Hell in a Bucket” for a champagne sunset cruise. They later moved to another boat, “Ripple.” Police are investigating the events that followed. Durnan has denied any involvement; his lawyer said he threw away clothing stained with vomit, though an EMT report did not mention vomit. The family has filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court and set up a tip line for information.
