Over 2.67 lakh Uttarakhand students submit essays to CM Dhami

More than 2.67 lakh Class 11 and 12 students in Uttarakhand have submitted essays to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami under the "My Dream Uttarakhand" campaign, accounting for over 90% of the state's 2,96,426 senior secondary pupils. Students wrote on tourism, jobs, social development, forests, education, health and technology after being invited at the August 10 "Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan". Five districts recorded full participation, while Dehradun sent 47,358 entries from 63,666 students. A team of experts and Dhami are now reviewing the submissions.

Separately, the Uttarakhand BJP has appointed eight state spokespersons, including Anukriti Gusain, daughter-in-law of senior Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat. State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said the expansion aims to sharpen media outreach. Meanwhile, students from Kumaon's border villages met Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Monday after returning from an Operation Sadbhavana National Integration Tour organised by the Army. The governor advised them to preserve photographs and dream of top Army leadership.
