Pa. Ranjith praises Sobhita Dhulipala for no stunt double in Vettuvam

Filmmaker Pa. Ranjith has praised actress Sobhita Dhulipala for performing all her action sequences without a stunt double in the upcoming Tamil film Vettuvam. Ranjith called her a "brilliant actor" and said she did not use a dupe for even one shot. Stunt doubles were present only during camera rehearsals.

Sobhita described the physical demands of the role, saying some choreography would normally take 15 to 20 years of practice, but the team executed the stunts with spirit and teamwork each shoot day. Cinema Express reported that she plays Rathi, a character who initiates fights and is described as "her own boss" and "unapologetic."

Sobhita, who previously worked with Mani Ratnam on the Ponniyin Selvan series, said the opportunity to inhabit contrasting cinematic worlds is an actor's dream. Vettuvam marks her first collaboration with Ranjith and is expected to release soon.
