Pratap Group opens ₹850-cr fibre, battery plants in Madhya Pradesh

Pratap Group has opened two manufacturing facilities in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of ₹850 crore, the company announced on Thursday. The plants, Corsis Industries for advanced optical fibre and Voltters Technologies for battery energy storage systems and lithium-ion solutions, have already started production. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on X that more than 30,000 youth will gain employment through these units, calling the lithium battery plant the country's third-largest.

The Gurugram-headquartered telecom infrastructure maker is executing major BharatNet contracts. In March, it signed a ₹8,025 crore deal with BSNL to design, build, operate and maintain a middle-mile network across three packages covering Rajasthan, Haryana and Assam. In February, it also secured Odisha and Andhra Pradesh packages for BSNL's 4G Saturation programme. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said reliable power supply and high-level connectivity through optical fibre and storage systems will help harness solar and wind energy for India's digital and AI era.
