Saif Ali Khan jams with Army jawans in Uri for Jai Jawan

Saif Ali Khan visited Uri as the chief guest for NDTV's Independence Day programme Jai Jawan 2026. The actor spent a day with Indian Army soldiers, cooking pooris, playing cricket, and performing hits like Ole Ole and Pungi. He also visited Kaman Aman Setu, the Bridge of Peace on the Line of Control.

Saif told soldiers he was the original performer of the whiskey-glass-on-head trick, later seen in Animal with Bobby Deol. He called cricket a bonding sport and described the experience as tiring but exciting. NDTV will air the full coverage of Jai Jawan on August 15 at 12 noon.
