Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares seemantham ceremony pictures

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, expecting her first child with husband Raj Nidimoru, shared pictures from her traditional seemantham ceremony on Monday, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The actress posted images of the ritual, known as Kalaa Aavarana (Sri Kalpam) from the Srividya tradition, on Instagram. She wore a yellow ethnic outfit and minimal makeup, with Raj Nidimoru and family members present.

In her caption, Samantha expressed deep respect for traditions, noting she may not understand every ritual but believes in the deeper energy of mantras and chanting. She described how the priest explained each step, making her understand the ceremony's thoughtfulness. The ritual honours the 94 kalas of Devi through the seven chakras of the mother-to-be, using sacred water and mantras to cleanse and energise these centres.

Samantha also said the ceremony treats the mother as Devi herself. She recently announced her pregnancy during the success meet of her film Maa Inti Bangaaram, which crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide. Samantha and Raj Nidimoru married in December 2025.
