Shah Rukh Khan joins Asha Bhosle tribute music video

AR Rahman has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will feature in a tribute music video for the late singer Asha Bhosle. Rahman thanked the actor on X, writing, "A heartfelt thank you to dear Shah Rukh Khan for graciously agreeing to be part of Asha Bhosle ji's tribute music video." The project, titled 'Asha Forever', was conceptualised while Bhosle was alive. Rahman released a teaser for the song in June on World Music Day.

The tribute video includes contributions from multiple singers, including Rahman and Bhosle herself, who recorded parts before her death. Musicians from London's Trinity Laban Music College are also involved. Asha Bhosle, who sang over 12,000 songs in several languages, passed away on April 12 at the age of 92. Hindustan Times reports that she was cremated with full state honours in Mumbai.

Rahman's note described the video as "a humble offering" celebrating Bhosle's legacy. The full tribute is expected to be released soon.
