Shah Rukh Khan to appear in AR Rahman’s Asha Bhosle tribute video

AR Rahman has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will feature in a music video paying tribute to the late singer Asha Bhosle. Rahman announced the news on X, thanking the actor for agreeing to be part of the project titled 'Asha Forever'.

Rahman conceived the tribute while Bhosle was still alive. The video, set to release on World Music Day, will include vocals from multiple singers including Rahman and Bhosle herself. Musicians from London's Trinity Laban Music College have also contributed.

Bhosle, who sang over 12,000 songs across several Indian languages, died on April 12, 2026. She recorded many songs for Shah Rukh Khan films, including 'Zara Sa Jhoom' and 'Le Gayi'. The full tribute video will be unveiled soon.
