Shruti Haasan excited as Romy and Michele sequel announced

Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow are reuniting for a sequel to their 1997 film *Romy and Michele's High School Reunion*. Cinema Express reports that the sequel was confirmed in June, and the two actors appeared at Disney's D23 event on Friday in matching outfits, revealing that their characters still own a Beverly Hills boutique and are seeking love in the new film. Kudrow joked, 'We’re officially Disney princesses,' while Sorvino added, 'I always knew we had princess energy.'

The announcement has generated excitement online, including from singer-actor Shruti Haasan, who shared a photo from the event on Instagram and wrote, 'I cannot wait' and 'Let's goooooo!!! Practical Magic 2 and then this???' Returning cast members include Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming, Julia Campbell, and Camryn Manheim. New additions to the cast are Keegan-Michael Key, Breckin Meyer, Rob Huebel, Nathan Lee Graham, and Patrick Warburton. The makers plan a direct-to-streaming release for the film.
