Srisailam temple tableau wins second prize at I-Day parade

The Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam won the second prize for its tableau at the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Nandyal on Saturday. The tableau, themed ‘Dharmapatha’ or the path of righteousness, depicted the temple’s digital ticketing system and outreach in Chenchu settlements.

The display showed the ‘Mana Mitra’ governance system used for darshan, Arjita Sevas and prasadam tickets, and the online registration assistance centres inside the temple. Another panel highlighted the ‘Maa Swami Mallanna, Maa Chentake’ programme for Chenchu hamlets and planned Devasthanam facilities.

Board of Trustees chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu, executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao and other board members congratulated the temple staff on the achievement.
