Telangana BJP leaders pay tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on death anniversary

Telangana BJP leaders on Sunday paid rich tributes to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his eighth death anniversary. State president N. Ramchander Rao, after offering floral tributes at the party headquarters, hailed Vajpayee’s value-based politics and recalled how he chose democratic principles over power even when his government fell by a single vote.

Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay described Vajpayee as a visionary leader whose six-decade career was marked by integrity and oratory. He recalled the 1998 Pokhran nuclear tests and Vajpayee’s historic Lahore bus ride. BJP MP Etala Rajender and other leaders paid homage at separate events, noting the former PM’s role in the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and other reforms.
