Nation remembers Atal Bihari Vajpayee on death anniversary

The nation remembered former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. Leaders and citizens paid heartfelt tributes on social media, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the remembrances. In a message on X, Modi said Vajpayee dedicated his life to the service of the nation, calling him an extraordinary statesman with remarkable vision whose leadership strengthened the country and whose focus on good governance continues to guide.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said Vajpayee is an inspiration to millions of workers, describing him as a skilled organiser whose life was rooted in ideology and principles. Kiren Rijiju also paid homage, stating that Vajpayee will forever live in their hearts, thoughts and values. Other leaders across party lines joined in paying respects to the former prime minister.
