Thudakkam recovers Rs 20 cr budget, enters safe zone in 10 days

Vismaya Mohanlal's debut film Thudakkam has recovered its entire estimated budget of Rs 20 crore after 10 days at the box office, entering the safe zone. The Jude Anthany Joseph-directed action thriller collected Rs 20.34 crore net in India, with a worldwide gross of Rs 38.8 crore as of Day 10.

The film earned Rs 1.44 crore on its second Sunday, after a jump to Rs 1.85 crore on Independence Day. Thudakkam has surpassed Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies to become the eighth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026, Koimoi reports. It now needs just Rs 10 lakh to beat Balan: The Boy's lifetime of Rs 19.07 crore.

The film will have a clear run at the Kerala box office until August 20, when Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa releases. On August 21, Nivin Pauly's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit will take over screens. The Mollywood top grosser this year remains Vaazha 2 at Rs 129.42 crore.
