TN CM Vijay slams Karnataka forest dept killing of three Tamils

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has condemned the killing of three Tamil men by the Karnataka forest department on August 15, calling the explanation given by the neighbouring state unacceptable. The Deccan Herald reports that the three men, Antoni Sami, John Rose Peter, and Kumar, were shot dead in the Cauvery wildlife sanctuary area in Hanur taluk of Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district early that morning.

In a post on social media, Vijay expressed anguish over the deaths and demanded justice. The incident has escalated tension between the two states, with Tamil Nadu accusing Karnataka of excessive force. Karnataka officials have defended the action, but the CM has rejected their version of events.
