Actor Antarra Banerjee not arrested, mistaken identity in train attack case

Actor Antarra Banerjee has denied reports that she was arrested for attacking a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel with a razor blade aboard the Aravali Express. Her team issued a clarification after her name and photograph were used in viral news and social media posts. The actor said she was 'shocked to the core' after receiving over 400 calls on Sunday morning.

According to Hindustan Times, which reviewed the FIR, the person arrested is Antara Soham Banerjee, not Antarra Banerjee. The FIR states that the accused's father's name is Soham, while Antarra's father is Subrata Banerjee. The addresses also differ: the accused lives in Thane, while Antarra lives in Jogeshwari, Andheri West.

Antarra Banerjee, known for roles in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' and 'Badho Bahu', said she will file a complaint and defamation case to protect her image. She urged news outlets to pull down the reports or issue corrections.
