Ukrainian Drones Kill 6 in Russia as Moscow Strikes Kyiv

Ukraine launched hundreds of drones across Russia overnight, killing at least six people in one of its largest aerial attacks of the war, greaterkashmir.com reports. Russia's Ministry of Defence said it destroyed 822 drones, with 600 headed toward Moscow. Five people died in the southwestern Rostov region, local Governor Yury Slyusar said. An 83-year-old man was killed when a drone hit his home in the Moscow region.

NDTV adds that the drone barrages have targeted military, industrial and e-commerce warehouses far from the front line. Separately, Deccan Herald reports that Russian forces struck Kyiv with missiles and drones early on Sunday, sparking fires in two districts. Three people were injured in the capital, said Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Falling debris caused a fire in a northern suburb and another fire broke out south of the city centre.

The Kyiv region governor, Tymur Tkachenko, said three more people, including a child, were injured in drone attacks across the region. Air alerts sounded twice after 2 am, each lasting about half an hour. Russia has intensified air attacks on Kyiv in recent weeks.
