Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali postponed, new date under discussion

Vijay Deverakonda's period action drama Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, has been postponed from its September 11, 2026 release date due to delays in shooting and production. The team is now considering multiple new dates, according to TeluguCinema.com.

October 30, 2026 is one option, but makers are reportedly reluctant because that period is considered dull for theatrical business in Telugu states. Deepavali weekend is more favourable, but Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana is scheduled for that time. Christmas 2026 is another window being explored, though Rashmika Mandanna, the lead actress, is still recovering from an injury.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series Films, Ranabaali is set in colonial-era Rayalaseema and marks Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan's second collaboration after Taxiwala. The makers are expected to finalise a release date soon.
