Jana Nayagan OTT release on ZEE5 August 21, fans celebrate 25 days

Thalapathy Vijay's political action thriller 'Jana Nayagan' will premiere on ZEE5 on August 21, marking the digital debut of his final film before entering politics. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani and Narain, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Meanwhile, Times of India reports that fans celebrated the film's 25th day in theatres with special screenings at venues such as Rohini Silver Screens. Social media posts showed cheering crowds during Vijay's title card and chants of 'Thalapathy!' The film was released theatrically on July 23 and carries emotional weight as Vijay's farewell to cinema after over three decades as a Tamil superstar.

The OTT release offers a wider audience access to the film, which overcame certification delays and the piracy setback to perform strongly at the box office, with India net collections approaching Rs 200 crore according to Tracktollywood.
