Yash breaks silence on ‘Toxic’ song row, calls film for adults only

Yash has addressed the online trolling over his song 'Tabaahi' from the upcoming film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups'. During an appearance on 'Aap Ki Adalat', the actor responded to social media users comparing the song to a condom advertisement. 'If I have to do a condom ad, I will do it for money. I won't do it for free,' he said, as reported by the Times of India and Greatandhra.

The actor stressed the difference between sensuality and vulgarity. 'Vulgarity is wrong. I haven't even kissed,' Yash said, according to multiple sources. He explained that the film's visual language should be judged within its creative context. Yash also clarified that 'Toxic' is not for children, calling it 'a fairy tale for grown-ups'. The film explores generational questions and fixed social rules, targeting a Gen Z audience.

Kannada actor Risheekaa Ssingh criticised the trailer, objecting to a scene showing Yash partially nude, as per Times of India. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, 'Toxic' stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi. The film releases worldwide on August 26, 2026.
