Hyderabad exhibition explores nature through memory and personal experience

Kalakriti Art Gallery's exhibition Prakriti: A Quiet Continuum runs at The Quorum Hyderabad through September 5, according to The New Indian Express. Gallery director Rekha P Lahoti said the show's theme of nature grew organically, with each artist drawing on personal memory rather than depicting nature directly. Curator Amit Jain said the works are meant to leave visitors with an emotional response, a sense of belonging and inspiration.

Three artists contribute work. Anupama Alias Anil linked a decade of inward searching to a piece titled The Fire of Dissolution 4, describing nature as a boundless source of energy. K Sudheesh paints landscapes drawn from a river and lake near his home, tracing how the water's shifting light and colour echo the human mind. Kandula Sandeep, raised in a fishing family, works sand and snail shells gathered from his village pond into paintings of the water and the people who depend on it.
