The Assam Tribune distributes flood relief to 200 families in Sivasagar

A 13-member delegation from The Assam Tribune, led by the management and employees' union, visited Darikial MV School in Sivasagar district on Thursday to distribute flood relief commodities to around 200 affected families. The initiative was supported by Bipanshi Enterprise and local residents including headmaster Rajesh Dutta, Diganta Saikia, Tanmoy Buragohain, and Madhujya Singha.

Relief was also distributed in the Betbari area. Among the items, bamboo brooms were particularly welcomed by women. One woman beneficiary told the correspondent that she had lost everything, including livestock, in the floods. Locals appreciated the effort.

Headmaster Rajesh Dutta thanked The Assam Tribune Group. Present were Dugdharam Kalita (president of the Assam Tribune Employees' Union), Debasish Sinha (general secretary), Bhaskar Das (assistant secretary), and Manob Hazarika (president of Sivasagar District Students' Union).
