Atlee backs Vijay’s political impact, Sethupathi praises CM warmth

Filmmaker Atlee, speaking at the audio launch of Vijay Sethupathi's Baththa in Chennai on Friday, said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is 'creating a solid generation' for politics. Atlee claimed that even five-year-old children now watch Legislative Assembly proceedings. He also addressed the recent viral Bigg Boss 10 episode involving Vijay Sethupathi, saying that if someone wants to address an issue, it should be done through direct confrontation rather than indirect social media references. Atlee added that he owes his career to Vijay, revealing that Vijay encouraged him to direct Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan.

Separately, Vijay Sethupathi spoke warmly about CM Vijay amid the Bigg Boss 10 controversy, where his remarks on leadership were speculated by some social media users to be aimed at the Chief Minister. At the Baththa audio launch, Sethupathi recalled personal interactions with Vijay, including a call from Vijay after Sethupathi wished his son Jason Sanjay on his birthday. Sethupathi also described a gesture where Vijay sent him a hug through a mutual colleague, calling it sweet. Baththa, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, releases in theatres on October 1.
