6 held with 12 kg hashish oil worth Rs 1.5 crore in Hyderabad

Six persons, including an IT employee and two 17-year-old boys, were arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly transporting 12 kg of hashish oil worth Rs 1.5 crore, police said. The Malkajgiri Police Commissioner stated the contraband was seized near Vanasthalipuram, with four suspects carrying 1-kg packets tied to their legs and stomachs.

The prime accused, G Srinu, was previously arrested in NDPS cases in Andhra Pradesh. He and his wife, an IT employee, allegedly recruited unemployed tribal youth to transport hashish oil from Andhra Pradesh to Bengaluru via Hyderabad. The supplier Krishna and receiver Sijo, based in Bengaluru, are absconding.

In a separate case, Siasat.com reported that an auto-rickshaw driver, Amar Kumar, was arrested in Madhapur with 1.45 kg of ganja. The STF team intercepted him while allegedly selling the contraband. He was handed over to the Madhapur Excise Station for further investigation.
