BJP chief Nabin says people will change mindset of those insulting Vande Mataram

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday slammed Opposition parties for working with a 'mindset of division' and insulting 'Vande Mataram', asserting that the people of India will change their mindset. Speaking at a Samrasta Sankalp Diwas event marking the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas at Talkatora Stadium, Nabin said India's culture and heritage have faced challenges but remain strong.

Referring to historical figures Lodi and Sikandar, Nabin said the strength of India's soil would transform the minds of those who insult 'Vande Mataram'. He also hit out at previous Congress governments for attempting to divide the country's resources along religious and social lines, and said government schemes are framed for the last person in society without discrimination. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said sacred soil from Varanasi would be taken to every district and settlement in the capital as part of the Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan.
