Two separate Delhi e-rickshaw accidents kill three

On Thursday, a 28-year-old man died of electric shock while charging his e-rickshaw at a station in west Delhi's Punjabi Bagh area, Hindustan Times reports. The man, identified as Yograj Gautam, was a tenant in Paschim Puri. Police have registered an FIR against the charging point owner, Bali Khanna, under sections related to causing death by negligence, and are questioning him about safety measures.

In a separate incident early Monday, a battery explosion on an e-rickshaw sparked a fire in a godown in Raghubir Nagar, killing two people, according to Times of India. The deceased, Sufaid (17) and Mohd Samid (38), were taken to hospital with burn injuries and declared brought dead. The Delhi Fire Service sent four fire tenders and brought the blaze under control by 5.25 am. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause.
