Elder brother killed in funeral expense quarrel in Hyderabad

A dispute between two brothers over sharing their father’s funeral expenses turned fatal at Kummari Basti in Champapet, Hyderabad. Venkatesh (28) was killed by his younger brother Shiva (26) during a fresh argument on Saturday, Telangana Today reports.

The brothers had been quarrelling frequently since their father’s funeral earlier this year. Shiva allegedly failed to contribute his share towards the expenses. During the argument, he attacked Venkatesh with a pair of scissors, leaving him critically injured. Venkatesh later succumbed to his injuries.

Shiva fled the spot after the incident. The Saroornagar police have registered a case and are investigating. Efforts are on to trace and arrest the suspect.
