Fairphone 6+ launch set for August 18

Fairphone has confirmed its 6+ model will be unveiled on August 18 at 1pm CET, matching a previous rumour. The announcement came via the company's official newsroom on X, ending days of speculation.

The Fairphone 6+ is expected to upgrade over last year's Fairphone 6 with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset (versus Gen 3), 12GB of RAM (up from 8GB), and a new Cobalt Blue colour option. Other features are reported to be unchanged.

The price is rumoured at €649, €50 more than the Fairphone 6 at its launch and €100 above its current market price. Full details will be confirmed during the August 18 event.
