Google Pixel 11 series launches, Samsung Galaxy Z8 and S26 prices drop

Google has opened pre-orders for its new Pixel 11 series, including a vanilla model, two Pro variants, and a foldable, with availability from August 20. The lineup sees a RAM configuration shift: the Pixel 11 and 11 Pro models start with 12GB of RAM, while the 11 Pro Fold always gets 16GB; higher storage tiers offer 16GB on the Pro models as well. All devices are powered by the Tensor G6 chipset, and standard storage has been raised to 256GB across the series.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL feature a new RGB LED notification light called HiLight, while the vanilla model lacks this. Camera upgrades include a larger main sensor on the base model and a new telephoto lens on the Pro. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is thinner and lighter than its predecessor but has a smaller 4,806mAh battery. Google is offering trade-in bonuses of up to €400 for old devices, with an extra €100 for Pixel owners trading for a Pro XL or Fold model.

Separately, Samsung has reduced prices on its Galaxy Z8 foldables and S26 series. GSMarena.com reports that the discounts are available now, though no specific amounts or durations were provided. The Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 also launched with minor upgrades, and the older Pixel 10a remains available with a €200 discount.
