GoFundMe for Lindsay Clancy’s parents raises over $819,000

A GoFundMe campaign for Lindsay Clancy's parents, Michael and Paula Musgrove, has raised over $819,604 of its $2 million goal, as reported by Hindustan Times. The fundraiser, organised by Brandee Mulligan, aims to cover the couple's travel, lodging, and living expenses incurred while supporting their daughter during her trial. The funds are strictly for personal needs and not for legal fees. A separate GoFundMe for Patrick Clancy, Lindsay's ex-husband, has also been set up.

Lindsay Clancy is on trial in Massachusetts for the deaths of her three children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, in January 2023. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors allege premeditation, citing internet searches on suicide methods and sociopathy. The trial, now in its fourth week, has heard from nearly 70 witnesses, including Patrick Clancy and first responders. If convicted of first-degree murder, Clancy faces life without parole, if found not criminally responsible, she will be committed to a psychiatric hospital.

The defense argues Clancy was overmedicated and suffering from postpartum psychosis. Patrick Clancy testified that her mental health declined despite treatment. The prosecution may rest its case in the coming days.
