મિઝોરમ યુનિવર્સિટીના પ્રો. વિશ્વંભર પ્રસાદ સાતીના અભ્યાસ મુજબ, ૨૦૦૦ પછીથી ઉત્તરાખંડમાં વન્યપ્રાણીઓના હુમલામાં કુલ ૯૫૪ મૃત્યુ થયા, જેમાં ૨૦૨૦થી ૨૦૨૫ દરમિયાન ૪૩૮ મૃત્યુ થયા. આ છ વર્ષમાં મૃત્યુનું પ્રમાણ કુલના ૪૬ ટકા છે. દીપડાના હુમલામાં સૌથી વધુ જાનહાનિ થઈ છે.
