Gurugram urges work from home as Delhi-NCR rain snarls traffic

Traffic teams were deployed from early morning, though officials warned that further rain could worsen conditions.

Delhi also saw submerged roads, stranded commuters and slow traffic across key routes, The Federal reports. The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert and forecast moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms through Friday. Safdarjung recorded 56 mm of rain, while the Public Works Department received about 30 waterlogging complaints and 10 reports of fallen trees.
