केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने खेलो इंडिया के अगले चरण के लिए 29,054 करोड़ रुपये की मंजूरी दी है। इसमें राज्यों के साथ बुनियादी ढांचे की लागत साझा करने के लिए पांच वर्षों में 565 करोड़ रुपये का कोष शामिल है। केंद्र सामान्य राज्यों में 60%, पूर्वोत्तर और हिमालयी राज्यों में 90% और केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों में पूरी लागत वहन करेगा।
