Iceland Cricket trolls England after Bangladesh’s historic Test win in Australia

Iceland Cricket took a swipe at England after Bangladesh defeated Australia by nine wickets in the first Test on Sunday, August 16. In a post on X, the account noted that Bangladesh now has as many Test wins in Australia as England has in the last 15 years.

England's last Test victory in Australia was in December 2025, ending a 14-year drought. Bangladesh, by contrast, won its first Test on Australian soil on its third attempt, after bowling out the hosts for 198 and then chasing 57 with ease. Mominul Haque hit the winning runs.

Australia captain Pat Cummins conceded that Bangladesh outplayed his side in all departments. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 5/66, while Cameron Green scored a century for Australia. Iceland Cricket is known for such humorous posts, which often go viral among cricket fans.
