IGNOU, NCW launch three micro-credential courses on women

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the National Commission for Women (NCW) have launched three micro-credential courses on gender sensitisation, women’s leadership, and workplace safety. The partnership was formalised on August 14, 2026, and registrations are open through the IGNOU Samarth admission portal.

The courses cover Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH), Women’s Leadership and Capacity Building, and Gender Sensitisation in society and culture. IGNOU Vice Chancellor Uma Kanjilal and NCW Chairperson Vijaya K. Rahatkar led the collaboration. IGNOU will handle academic structure and certification, while NCW will provide thematic content and outreach support. Future courses may include domestic violence, cyber safety, and mental health.
