Rapido driver barred after alleged harassment of minor boy

A Rapido driver in Uttar Pradesh has been permanently barred from the platform after a minor boy accused him of inappropriately touching him during a ride on August 14. The teenager filmed the incident and shared the video on social media, tagging Rapido. The company said in a response that it had taken the matter seriously and permanently removed the driver, adding that such behaviour is unacceptable.

Separately, another Rapido driver has claimed he was suspended for 99 years and 11 months after he forced four passengers out of his vehicle over alleged casteist slurs. The driver said he belonged to the caste being targeted and that he had repeatedly warned the passengers before asking them to leave. Rapido has not commented on the second incident.
