Yogi announces Uttar Pradesh youth policy on Independence Day

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a new Youth Policy on Saturday, focused on skills, innovation and employment. Speaking at the state-level Independence Day celebration in Lucknow, he said the policy would support young people through an integrated approach. He cited work in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, startups, defence manufacturing, robotics, electric vehicles, agritech and other sectors. He also referred to interest-free, collateral-free loans under the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana.

Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh had moved from a state associated with poor development indicators to a growth engine and investment destination. He said freedom also meant liberation from poverty, illiteracy, inequality and backwardness, and urged citizens to contribute. The chief minister also hoisted the national flag at his official residence and honoured artists from eight states after a cultural programme. He directed officials to arrange visits to Ayodhya and other Uttar Pradesh sites for artists who requested them.
