Samantha Ruth Prabhu will headline Celebrity MasterChef Tamil, a cooking show featuring popular Tamil stars, Sony Pictures Networks India announced on Saturday. The show will air on Sony VIZHA and stream on Sony LIV, with exclusive digital content. Produced by Banijay Asia, the series will draw from the global MasterChef format while incorporating local flavours and Tamil celebrity culture, Mathrubhumi reports.

"Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together, creating memories, and revealing a side of you that the cameras don't usually get to see," Samantha said, as quoted by both sources. The show will see celebrities take on demanding culinary challenges, unexpected twists and the pressure of impressing judges and audience. The identities of the participating celebrities are being kept under wraps. The premiere date has not been announced but the show will launch soon.
