Injury-hit Bayern Munich beats Leipzig 3-1 in pre-season friendly

Bayern Munich ended its pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, but the victory was marred by injuries to key players. Sportstar reports that defender Konrad Laimer was forced off in the first ten minutes with a right thigh injury. Centre-back Kim-min Jae was substituted in the 69th minute after an injury scare. Musiala, who scored after coming off the bench, was stretchered off just 17 minutes into his appearance, apparently fainting due to the heat, closing out a bittersweet contest.

New signing Ismael Saibari, who transferred from PSV Eindhoven in July, made his debut and assisted Musiala's goal. Harry Kane and Michael Olise missed the match. Kompany fielded a 4-3-3 formation with most first-choice players, offering a preview of Bayern's potential lineup for the new season.
