Record signing Yan Diomande in Real Madrid squad for Schalke friendly

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has named new record signing Yan Diomande, along with Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, in the squad for Sunday's friendly against Schalke in Gelsenkirchen. This is the first time the trio has been included under Mourinho after returning from World Cup duty. The match is Real Madrid's final pre-season friendly before their La Liga campaign starts on August 22 at Espanyol.

Also included for the first time this pre-season are Marc Cucurella, Thibaut Courtois and Ibrahima Konate. Madrid have overhauled their squad after two seasons without a major trophy, signing Diomande for 140 million euros (Rs 1,212 crore) from RB Leipzig, as well as Cucurella and Konate. In the friendly, Madrid won 3-0, with Mbappe scoring and Diomande making his debut.
