Karan Johar’s Dharmatic ropes in Musafir Cafe director Ruchir Arun

Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment has signed director Ruchir Arun to direct a new long-form series. Arun, who recently directed the acclaimed web series Musafir Cafe, will work under the Dharma banner once again, Koimoi and Bollywood Hungama report.

Arun is known for his work on projects such as Little Things and Ghar Waapsi. Koimoi notes that Arun had said in a recent interview that his next project after Musafir Cafe would be another love story for Dharma. Bollywood Hungama says the collaboration is expected to expand Arun's creative space and add to his growing body of work.

The director, a FTII graduate, originally aspired to make thrillers but has gravitated towards softer, relationship-focused stories, according to Koimoi. Both outlets report that his latest series has strengthened his reputation for emotionally layered narratives.
