Kovai Kings crush Trichy Grand Cholas by 116 runs in TNPL

In the Tamil Nadu Premier League on Saturday, Vida Kovai Kings defeated Trichy Grand Cholas by 116 runs at the NPR College ground in Dindigul. B Sachin, the tournament's leading run-scorer, struck 77 off 45 balls to anchor the Kings' total of 201 for six.

Sachin shared a decisive 75-run stand for the sixth wicket with Madhava Prasad (38 not out), rescuing the innings after early wickets fell. Put in to bat, Kovai had started briskly through Radhakrishnan and Lokeshwar but lost momentum briefly.

Chasing 202, Trichy collapsed to 85 all out in 16.1 overs. Leg-spinner Jhathavedh Subramanyan took three for 10, while Deeban Lingesh picked three for 24. Only K Rajkumar (32) offered resistance. The win ended Kovai's three-match losing streak.
