Mahindra Thar OG 3-door SUV launched at Rs 10.32 lakh

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Thar OG, the updated three-door SUV, at an introductory price of Rs 10.32 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries begin on October 11, 2026. The SUV gets a new M_Glyde 4G platform, Rear PENTALINK suspension with Watts Link, DAVINCI Damping, Electric Power Steering, and an Electronic Locking Differential.

The 2.0L turbo petrol now produces 162 bhp and 330 Nm, while the 2.2L diesel makes 152 bhp and 330 Nm, according to news.abplive.com. The Economic Times reports both engines deliver 119 kW and 111.9 kW respectively with the same torque. Exterior updates include circular LED headlamps, new bumpers, and R19 alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV offers Truffle Brown leatherette upholstery and a new touchscreen infotainment system.

The Thar OG retains its ladder-frame chassis and is available with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, with RWD and 4×4 options. New features include terrain modes (Mud, Sand, Snow), a front camera, and frequency-dependent damping for improved ride quality.
