Manchester United end pre-season with 4-2 loss to AC Milan

Manchester United ended its pre-season with a 2-4 defeat to AC Milan at the Tarczyński Arena Wrocław in Poland on Saturday. AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim, who was sacked by United earlier this year, beat his former team. Harry Maguire opened the scoring for United inside two minutes, but Samuel Chukwueze equalised before half-time.

Patrick Dorgu restored United's lead soon after the break, only for Alphadjo Cissè to level six minutes later. Gonçalo Ramos and Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored in the second half to seal a convincing win for the Serie A side. Michael Carrick's United open their Premier League 2026-27 season at newly-promoted Hull City on August 22, while Milan visit Torino two days later.
