Perez Hilton receives medical care after disturbing TikTok livestream

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton's family and team said on his X account that he "is receiving medical care" after a TikTok livestream from his Miami home, in which he was allegedly seen cutting himself and appeared covered in what looked like blood, prompted a flurry of calls to police, Hindustan Times reported, citing Newsweek. "We can confirm that Perez is receiving medical care, and our family's focus right now is on his well-being," the statement read, asking the public to "respect Perez's privacy" and promising updates "as soon as we can." The Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office told Newsweek it fielded "multiple calls" about a livestreamed act of self-harm, deputies who reached Hilton's house spoke with relatives on scene and then chose to "tactically disengage" while monitoring from a distance. TikTok took the video down and suspended his account. The Sheriff's Office added that such crisis calls are usually handled through de-escalation, time and distance rather than immediate confrontation.
