SBI offers free AI, content marketing courses on edX
State Bank of India (SBI) is offering free online skill courses through the edX platform, covering topics such as generative AI, content marketing, personal branding, behavioural finance and international trade. The courses are designed for self-paced learning, with over 25,000 e-lessons, case studies, articles and videos included.
Registration is open until 31 March 2027. While the courses are free, a fee is required for a verified certificate. Specific offerings include an eight-week course on AI and generative AI for business automation, a four-week course on agentic AI in banking, a four-week content marketing strategy course, and a four-week course on agri e-commerce and finance.
The courses target professionals, management students and entrepreneurs, and do not require coding skills for the AI-related programmes.
Indian Opinion Analysis
These free courses lower the cost barrier for acquiring in-demand digital skills, particularly for students and small business owners. The absence of a mandatory certificate fee means learners can access the entire curriculum at no cost. What remains unresolved is whether the verified certificate, which may carry more weight with employers, will be priced competitively. The next milestone is 31 March 2027, when registrations close.
