Seven arrested, including doctor, for rape and forced abortion in Gadag

Police in Gadag have arrested seven people, including a doctor and a nurse, for allegedly raping a woman and forcing her to undergo an abortion. The accused were identified as Sikandar Bepari, Shabbir Ahmed Langoti, Pradeep Navalekar, Bharat Koravar, Sandeep Navalekar, RMP doctor Nagaraj Kamatar, and staff nurse Rekha Shirahatti.

According to police, Sikandar and Bharat separately raped the woman. After she became pregnant, the abortion was carried out illegally. All seven have been produced before a court. Authorities said they are searching for others who assisted in the crime.
